DISECTU urges Sand Union to roll back decision

Taking serious note of the Manipur Sand Union's (MSU) circular issued on December 1 to conduct regular checking and verification of every sand transporter from December 10, the Dimapur-Imphal Sand & Essential Commodity Transporter Union (DISECTU) called the circular as a breach to working ethics and life-line.
DISECTU convened an emergency meeting and discussed the circular on December 8 at SDTOA office Sahrafii, Senapati.
The meeting chaired by DISECTU president Abraham Maram expressed strong reservation over the MSU decision and termed the decision as unwarranted harassment and violation of work ethics.
The.
meeting also decided to urge MSU not to take any hasty decision unilaterally without taking the confidence of the stakeholders that could create or invite unnecessary problem and misunderstanding.
The meeting also strongly urged MSU to roll back or re - consider their decision to avoid any counter reaction.
After thorough deliberations, the meeting also resolved to enrol more like-minded members into the union and to convene union's meeting frequently for better networking and coordination.
