Indian Made Foreign Liquor worth Rs 1 lakh (approximately) was seized by CADA volunteers from a parcel jeep (MN 05A-1796) at Khuman Lampak, Dingku Road today.
The liquor was being transported by four persons.
The jeep was being driven by one Lalkhumshang.
Of the four individuals transporting the huge quantity of liquor , two managed to escape while two were nabbed by CADA volunteers.
The two apprehended individuals are identified as Bandram of Churachandpur Old Bazar and Chinland of Churachandpur New Bazar.
The seized liquor included 58 bottles of Old Monk, 192 half bottles of Bagpiper, 120 full bottles of Bagpiper, 144 bottles of Contessa and 24 bottles of Gin.
The CADA has warned the two escaped individuals to give in within five days.
