Imphal, August 05:
In unrelated motor accidents an Assistant Sub Inspector of Traffic Police was killed in the capital city while about 18 passengers of a public carrier sustained injuries when the bus they were travelling on skidded down the hill side near Irang river in Tamenglong district.
The traffic police personnel identified as Thangjam Ingocha (50) of Haoreibi Awang Leikai was crushed to death by a speeding truck at around 8.10 am some days back along the Kanglapat Road near Johnstone Higher Secondary School.
In the bus mishap that took place along NH-53 in Tamenglong district, the passengers were hurt when the driver of the vehicle lost control and skidded down the hill side.
