Imphal, June 29:
The proscribed KCP appealed to the general public to join the organisation in observing July 1 as Black Day and switch off light from 8-9 pm and hoist black flags during the day.
The KCP has been observing black day in to commemorate death anniversary of its leader Yendrenbam Ibohanbi Meitei of Sekta who was gunned down on July 1, 1999 at Heibongpokpi by adversary force, stated a KCP statement issued by its home secretary Kh Lamphel Luwangcha.
A separate press release of the KCP also clarified that Lamphel Luwangcha is neither involved in financial matter of the organisation nor had served donation note (home demand) since February 10, 2002.
