Imphal, December 16 2008:
Drivers of four Imphal buses coming were reportedly beatened up and looted of their money and mobile phones by unidentified persons at Senapati Bazar last night.
In protest against the incident, bus service along Imphal-Senapati road has been stopped from today.
According to information received by the press, drivers of the buses bearing registration nos.MN-01/1834, MN-01/1817, MN-01/1377 and MN-01/0915 identified respectively as Thangjam Subhaschandra, Thangjam Ranbir, Kumarchandra and Yendrenbam Mani were assaulted and looted of their mobile phones and Rs 10,000 in cash by the unidentified persons.
