Allaying apprehension, if any, following reports of four children dying in Tamil nadu after measles vaccination, the Family Welfare Services, Govt of Manipur has clarified that there is no cause for such worry in the State as measles vaccines are being procured from/supplied by the Pune-based Serum Institute of India.
further conveying that measles vaccines responsible for the children's demise in the southern State were found to be supplied by Indian Immunological Ltd (IIL), a release issued by the Additional Director (FWS) urged all concerned to persist with the measles vaccination activities as vaccines supplied to the State is safe in all aspects.
