Imphal, March 16: Unidentified persons opened fire at the Uripok polem Leikai residence of Manipur Tribal Development Corporation's General Manager W Samananda at around 6.30 pm yesterday.

In protest against the attack local women folk staged a sit-in-protest from around 11 am till 4 in the evening at Uripok Polem Leikai.

It is worth mentioning that a similar attack was launched at the General manager's residence on March 4 morning.

Meanwhile, vehicles ceased service this morning along the Imphal-Sugnu route to protest unidentified persons firing shots at a Bus (MN04/7115) at Tonsen Lamkhai under Waikhong police station at around 7 pm yesterday.

However, normal traffic resumed by around 9 am.
