A 10-day fish farmer training cum demonstration programme organised by Bharat Sevak Samaj, Manipur State Branch in association with National Fisheries Development Board, Hyderabad, Government of India concluded at Moirang Mantak Tribal village in Churachandpur district.
Fisheries Scientist of ICAR Dr BK Behara, Fisheries Officer of Government of Manipur M Lokendro Singh, ex-Joint Director of Fisheries Kh Chandra Singh and Loan Recovery Officer of Manipur State Co-operative Bank S Shangai Singh were resource persons of the training programme participated by around 100 tribal fish farmers including male and female.
The training programme was conducted with the main objective of encouraging fish farming for economic sustenance.
