MCC launches drive against price hike

Moreh, June 08 2021:
In a bid to make sure that shopkeepers do not take undue advantage of Covid-19 pandemic situation, Moreh Consumers' Club (MCC) carried out drive to check hiking of price of essential items in the border town.
During the drive conducted in Moreh town on Tuesday, a shop selling expired items ordered to cease operation till the matter has been sorted out.
The drive led by MCC president Seiboi Haokip covered warehouses in Moreh and checked whether there are expired items stocked.
The MCC team also asked the shopkeepers not to charge higher than the MRP and also not to sell expired products.
