Four injured in mishap at Jiri

Jiribam, November 19 2009:
Four occupants of a timber-loaded Shaktiman including the driver of the truck sustained serious injuries when the truck fell into a gorge today around 12pm.The Shanktiman (MN 01-3776) was heading towards Old Keiphundai from Jiribam when it fell into a gorge due to failure of steering.
The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Th Naba (50) son of Kamal of Kakching Khunou.
The other injured persons were identified as S Sandeep (22) son of S Mubi, W Birjit (22), son of W Biren, both from Jiribam Uchathol and T Sur (32) son of T Seitendra of Jiribam Kamarghat.
All the injured victims have been referred to Silchar Medical College after giving first aid at Jiribam Community Health Centre.
