Imphal, March 04 2017:
A mild earthquake of magni-tude of 5.1 ML rocked North Eastern India today.
The earthquake which was triggered at 7.41 am was felt at 7.42 am at the Seismological Observatory, Manipur University.
The epicentre was located about 96 Kms North East of the observatory in Indo-Myanmar (Ukhrul district) border region.
The depth of the earthquake is estimated to be about 73 Kms, according to a press release issued by the Seismological Observatory, Department of Earth Sciences, Manipur University.
