Bomb threats against Congress candidates continues

Imphal, January 15, 2012:
In continuing bomb attacks against Congress candidates and workers in the run up to the election, residences of an INC candidate's younger brother and three Congress workers have been threatened with hand grenades.
Sources informed that a hand grenade which failed to go off was found at around 6.15 am today from the Khurai Chingangbam Leikai residence of Ng Joykumar, younger brother of MLA Ng Bijoy an INC candidate of the coming election.
In another incident, some unidentified persons lobbed two hand grenades at the residences of Md Hajmad Ali (45) of Keirao Makting and Md Chaoba (42) of Urup Tankha Pat Awang Leikai.
Both Hajmad and Chaoba were the active workers of MOBC Minister Allaudin Khan, an INC candidate.
The grenades which failed to blast were found today morning.
Meanwhile, a hand grenade was also found at the residence of one Huidrom Brojen (36) of Ishok Awang Leikai, an active worker of Social Welfare Minister N Loken Singh at around 8 am today.
