Moreh, May 09 2011:
The 24 hours total bandh called by TCC on May 5 was as per the directive of the Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL).
Moreover, all the Tangkhul frontal organisations are also represented in the TCC, said a press release issued by TNL general secretary K Dickson.
Reacting to a press statement in which the MNRF warned TCC convenor K Jonathan, the TNL termed its baseless and immature.
The TNL would always act and continue to do so as per the 3rd Naga Peoples Convention (NPC) declaration where imposing of ADC Act in the hill areas was totally discarded.
"We shall leave no stone unturned until the Government of Manipur withdraws such repressive ADC Act from the Naga areas/hill areas", it said.
Saying that it would not compromise under any circumstances in this regard in the face of targeting any group or individual, the TNL appealed to all individuals/groups/organisations to extend full cooperation while demanding 'our rights' .
