BJP State unit gears up for Modi rally

Upbeat BJP Manipur has finally zeroed in at Langjing Achouba playground near CRPF Group Centre for the much talked about Narendra Modi's public rally at Imphal which according to them would be attended by more than one lakh people.
Ground preparation works being done at Langjing Achouba was today inspected by a BJP team led by State unit president Th Chaoba and BJP National General Secretary Manipur in-charge Tapir Gao.
BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi would land at Imphal in a special flight at 10 am of February 8 .
From Tulihal Airport, Narendra Modi would be escorted to Langjing Achouba playground by two thousand motor bikes.
He would address a mammoth public meeting at Langjing Achouba where he will talk about a horde of major issues confronting Manipur in addition to presenting a lucid speech on the unfolding political scenario in Manipur.
He would leave Imphal the same day.
In connection with Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to Imphal, a meeting of the BJP State unit office bearers including district presidents, ex-MLAs, candidates and party leaders was held this afternoon.
On being enquired about allotment of BJP tickets for the Lok Sabha election, Chaoba said that the party's candidates would be announced in the last part of February in phases as assessment of party's prospects in different States is going on at present.
Who and who get party tickets in Manipur would be known in the last part of February.
One of the decision adopted at the BJP national executive meeting held recently was to look into the issue of border fencing along Indo(Manipur)-Myanmar border, Chaoba said.
