Nemcha Kipgen lays down plans to combat COVID-19

As Kangpokpi reels under the second wave of COVID-19, the local MLA, Nemcha Kipgen came up with a number of strategic plans to face the challenge in the constituency.
Seven COVID Task Force have been constituted in the constituency area wise namely Kangpokpi, Keithelmanbi, Tujang, Kalapahar, Yaikongpao/Tumnoupokpi, IT Road Irang and Parsian to coordinate with the district administration, medical department, police and other frontline workers in enforcing the expert's COVID advisories, SOPs and guidelines.
Nemcha Kipgen provided protective gears including PPE, Mask, Sanitizer, Gloves, etc.
to the Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Kangpokpi and Medical Officer of Kalapahar PHC and also to all the seven area wise COVID Task Force.
She then entrusted the SDO of Kangpokpi, Shyam Kumar to be the overall in-charge of the seven area wise COVID Task Force and directed him to arrange an ambulance within a few days to be utilized in the fight against the second wave in the constituency.

She also urged the seven area wise COVID Task Force to work sincerely by giving priority to safeguard humanity and ensure to stop further fatality in the constituency.
The local MLA then appealed to the people of Kangpokpi A/C to contact the following contact no(s) of their respective areas in case of any issue related to the second wave of COVID-19 .

The inaugural ceremony was attended by DC Kangpokpi, Somorjit Salam, IAS, Chief Medical Officer Kangpokpi, Dr J Touthang, Addl SP (Ops) Kangpokpi, Lalminlen Misao, MPS, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Kangpokpi, Dr Paotinlal Haokip, Medical Officer of Kalapahar PHC Dr Nengpilhing, KTC Chairman Lunseh Kipgen, members of KWWO and KYU and personnel of fire service.
She also provided hypochlorite to the fire service for sanitization as and when required.
The MLA also extended financial assistance to all the seven area wise COVID Task Force for their fuel and other needs in monitoring and ensuring SOPs and guidelines in their respective areas.
She appealed to the people of Kangpokpi A/C to extend maximum cooperation towards the area's COVID Task Force, district administration, medical department, police and other frontline workers and to bridge any gap which may hamper the turnaround time for critical service delivery.
