2 Lukhambi firing victims in critical state

Imphal, January 13 2017:
Two of the three persons injured in a gun attack by suspected NSCN (IM) cadres at a loaded truck at Lukhambi village, Noney yesterday are stated to be in serious conditions.
They are being kept in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Raj Medicity, North AOC.
When Sangai Express went to the hospital today to meet the injured persons who were hit by bullet in the attack, they were found admitted in the ICU of the hospital.
The injured persons identified as Jikthanglung Kamei (28) s/o Houthumang Kamei of Tamenglong Ward No 4 Medical Colony and Nipen Kalita (24) s/o Gangen Kalita of Khatkhati Shantigao, Assam were operated upon today.
Jikthanglung Kamei suffered bullet injuries on his abdomen, left thigh and right hand while Nipen Kalita received injuries on his left arm and chest.
According to the hospital authority, the two were shifted to the hospital from RIMS yesterday at around 11 pm.
On the other hand, the third injured person namely Thuanilung Kamei (30) s/o Namchei Kamei of Taobam village is said to be in a stable condition.
He was operated at Shija Hospital this evening.
He was referred to Shija Hospital from RIMS last night.
At first he was given treatment at 8 Assam Rifles Noney post soon after the gun attack.
Meanwhile, the body of Dikhonang s/o Tajinang of Chengdai village, who was killed in the attack has been claimed by his family members after post mortem examination at JNIMS morgue today noon.
