'Final year students of DMU at risk of losing an academic year'

The Pangal Students Union, Dhanamanjuri University (PSU, DMU) expressed serious concern that the final year students of the varsity are at the risk of losing an academic year.
In a press release, the PSU said that the notification dated June 9 issued by Office of the Controller of Examination of DMU stated that the exams for the third and fifth semester will commence from June 28 but the sixth semester exams of most of the major national universities will be over by late June.
The Students Union questioned how the DMU administration is going to solve the time gap of six months and guarantee that the students will not lose an academic year in this situation.
Stating that the future of thousands of students at stake, the PSU demanded for immediate and responsible response from the authority concerned at the earliest and solve the issue in the interest of the students.
Further it maintained that the admit card for 4th and 5th semester are yet to be issued by the varsity which is needed in form fill up for pursuing Post Graduation courses in different Universities across the country.
The Pangal Students Union of DMU also expressed discontentment that several students of 3rd and 5th semester students are yet to complete their form fill up which was on hold due to lockdown and the DMU has not provided any measures to complete the said process.
