Jan Seva Abhiyan: AR organises Covid vaccination drive at Kpi

Kangpokpi, June 10 2021:
44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 22 Sector AR/IGAR(E) has taken out an unique initiative along with Kangpokpi District Health officials to expedite the vaccination for local populace in Tuilong area of the district, said a statement of PIB Defence Wing.
The unit has undertaken the responsibility of establishing a mobile COVID Vaccination Center from June 10 onwards for the civil population of Tuilong area, Kangpokpi district.
The first of it's kind Covid vaccination centre in the district was made operational by the 44 Assam Rifles in association with Doctor Mohammed Arif Khan, MO in charge, PHC, T Waichong.
The unit medical staff with assistance from CMO & DIO, Kangkpokpi started the vaccination for the local population as a "Jan Seva Abhiyan" to assist the local Civil Administration in the fight against the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic.
On the first day, medical staff of the battalion and PHC, T Waichong administered vaccination to 51 beneficiaries.
