Aid extended to public, Covid Task Force, CHICs

Imphal, June 10 2021:
Organisations and individuals extended cash and material assistance to Covid-19 affected people, Covid Task Force and Community Home Isolation Centres (CHICs) in various parts of the state on Thursday.
In all, 1250 families in Langjing Achouba under Patsoi assembly constituency were provided edibles by RK Fortune Developer Private Limited managing director RK Rameshwar on Thursday.
He was joined by actor Gokul Athokpam during the distribution programme.
All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) in collaboration with Imphal East United Clubs' Organisation distributed food items to 90 households in Kongba area on Thursday.
The organisation also distributed edibles at Saikul and Khundrakpam ACs and at Saijang village, Leimakhong Mapal, Chalou, Sawombung, Chingarel Tezpur, Kangla Sagolmang, etc, a release said.
Intending candidate from Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC and BJP Manipur Pradesh executive member S Kebi Devi also provided edibles, hand sanitizers, face masks and water apart from donating Rs 50,000 to Pitambara English School CHIC of the AC.
Similarly, social worker Kharibam Jivan and Mayanglambam Rabi of Kakching Wairi Ward No.1 led volunteers of ITI Kakching and SC/ST Girls Hostel Kakching CHICs in distributing edibles to households in Wangkhem AC and to children below 10 years of age undergoing isolation at ITI Kakching, SC/ST Girls Hostel Kakching, Kha Manipur College Kakching Boys Hostel & Girls Hostel and Kakching Makha High School CHICs respectively on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Seva Bharati Manipur members led by MPSC retired chairman lieutenant general L Nishikanta and RIMS Department of ENT Dr Ningombam Jiten under the sponsorship of Seva Canada provided one oxygen concentrator, one thermometer, two PPEs and two oximeters to Kongpal Kshetri Leikai Covid Task Force for utilisation in Kongpal Imphal Morning High School CHIC on Wednesday.
Thoubal MLA and former CM Okram Ibobi and his son Khangabok MLA O Surjakumar on Thursday distributed PPE kits, mask, sanitizers, gloves, t-shirt, ID cards and monetary aid for volunteers of 'Thoubal Kendra Covid-19 Aid' and 'Anti Covid-19 Committee, Khangabok' .
