Even as no change of leadership has been effected till date, the rebel MLAs currently camping at Delhi are still hopeful that Chief Minister N Biren would be replaced after the ongoing Parliament session ends on July 26.Earlier, the rebel MLAs told The Sangai Express that Chief Minister N Biren would be replaced by a senior BJP MLA by July 10 but no change of leadership has been effected till today.
One of the rebel MLAs said, "We were hopeful that present leadership of the State's BJP-led coalition Government would be changed by July 10 even though BJP Central leaders suggested that change of leadership would be effected after the Parliament session ends on July 26 .

"As such, we haven't lost hope.
We are still confident that Chief Minister N Biren would be replaced after the ongoing Parliament session is over", said the rebel MLA.
Notably, 14 BJP MLAs have been camping at Delhi demanding change of leadership.
They held a meeting today and dismissed the news reports published in some local dailies today that the rebellion for replacing Chief Minister N Biren has fizzled out as baseless and mischievous.
They resolved to stay away from all meetings convened by the incumbent Chief Minister including meetings of BJP legislature party.
None of the BJP National leaders have so far made any comment on whether there would be a change of leadership or not, said some rebel MLAs who are camping at Delhi.
They maintained that the particular news report would have been fed by some people with vested interests with a sinister design to unsettle the rebel MLAs and destroy their unity.
"We have been urging Central leaders to bring good governance in the State and a benevolent Government which can fulfil people's wishes and aspirations.
We would carry on the ongoing campaign until our demand is met", said the rebel MLAs.
They asserted that their campaign is driven by their yearning to bring good governance in the State and clarified that they do not have any craving for Ministerial posts.
The meeting held today endorsed their stand in favour of change of leadership and resolved to continue camping at Delhi.
However, there are conflicting reports on whether the incumbent leadership would be changed or not.
One source said that BJP National president Amit Shah has some serious grievances against Chief Minister N Biren.
These grievances may act as catalyst towards replacing the Chief Minister.
Nonetheless, N Biren has been attempting to talk with Amit Shah on the latter's grievances.
