Knowledge Exchange Network (KEN) Boston USA will be organising its 2nd international convention on July 27 at Holiday Inn, Bath road, London Heathrow.
A press release issued by general secretary of KEN, Bishwajit Okram stated that the convention will discuss on "Developing a long lasting relationship between Manipur and its diasporas - A fundamental need for development of the State" .
It further stated that the convention will be presided by Dr Irengbam Mohendra Singh (retired Physician, writer and columnist).
Bijoy Koijam, former MLA as well as vice president of Badminton Association of India, Dr Thokchom Ibomcha, Managing Director of Advanced Hospital and Oinam Radheshyam, president of Manipur Chamber of Commerce Imphal will grace the function as the chief guest and guests of honour respectively.
20 delegates from different sectors and industries from Manipur are expected to join the convention to share their stories with the diaspora living in and outside the UK, it added.
KEN members from USA, Singapore, Canada, Japan, and India will also participate in the convention while NRI investors and intellectuals living in the UK are expected to join the convention, added the statement.
KEN, a group of Manipuri professional diasporas, aims at helping to develop employable skills in Manipur by exchanging knowledge between diaspora and the people of Manipur, it noted.
