ADC, Sadar Hills Chairman visits

ADC, Sadar Hills Chairman Haokholal Hangshing and Kangpokpi Town Committee chairman Chonkam Kipgen visited the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Kangpokpi and held a brief meeting with the MO in-charge at his office chamber yesterday.
During the visit, ADC, Sadar Hills Chairman Haokholal Hangshing observed that the medical staff members of Kangpokpi CHC have been facing difficulties in delivering health services due to shortage of doctors and staff nurses.
According to the Chairman, only 4 general medical officers are available at the CHC out of the 10 sanctioned doctors.
Out of the 5 ward boys sanctioned, not a single ward boy was available at the CHC.
He also said that as per the information, there is also an inadequacy of a radiographer, dresser, OT technician, 3 ASHA facilitators, an LDC, 2 registration clerks, 2 statistical assistants or DEOs, an accountant/administrative assistant, 2 ward attendants, 4 Ayahs, a peon, 3 chowkidars, 3 sweepers and 1 water carrier at the CHC.
The ADC, Sadar Hills Chairman urged the State Government to address the grievances of the CHC Kangpokpi authority for the welfare of the general public.
Lauding the humble ventures and dedication of the doctors and staffs of Kangpokpi CHC, the Chairman expressed hope that they would sustain their noble commitment for the welfare of the rural populace by providing effective health care.
In the meantime, Kangpokpi Town Committee chairman Chonkam Kipgen expressed gratitude to the ADC, Sadar Hills Chairman for his commitment to bring development in the field of health care.
