Imphal, March 06 2016:
BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Chaoba has asserted that the Congress party which starts with the letter C is accustomed to the highly obnoxious word 'corruption; which also starts with the letter C .
Speaking at a one-day political conference held at Keishamthong Moirang Purel Community Hall today, Th Chaoba said that the Congress Government led by Chief Minister O Ibobi has swindled huge amount of money sanctioned by the Government of India for public welfare during the past 14 years.
The State budget tabled in the Manipur Legislative Assembly recently reflected no worthwhile development projects/schemes for the public though maximum amounts were set aside for departments held by the Chief Minister.

There is a fundamental incompatibility between the Union budget and the State budget for 2016-17 .
While the Union budget pays extra attention to agriculture, horticulture, fishery and veterinary, the Sate budget totally ignored the common interests of farmers.
The budget makes no attempt to develop agriculture and alleviate socio-economic condition of farmers.
It is a matter of shame that the Government of Manipur was receiving prizes for implementing MGNREGS at the best level even though MGNREGS job car holders worked for only 20 days.
The State Government submitted manipulated records which claimed that job card holders worked for the full 100 days as guaranteed by the scheme.
It remains a big question how far the State Government would be successful in implementing the National Food Security (NFS) Act in its true spirit.
Rather than distributing PDS items to the rightful beneficiaries, Congress Ministers, MLAs and their agents have been earning huge money out of the PDS items.
Tourism sector remains a non-starter in the State because huge amounts of fund sanctioned for development of tourism sector were misappropriated.
This is evident in many incomplete projects, Chaoba asserted.
He further exuded confidence that BJP would score landslide victory in the Municipal Corporation election which is likely to be held by the month of June this year.
It was BJP which defeated Congress party thoroughly in the recent by-election, Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat elections.
MLA Th Bishwajit asserted that the Congress Government may survive up to December this year at the most.
Even as the Centre sanctioned Rs 300 crore since 2005 for taking up different tourism projects, many of these projects still remain incomplete with the State Government unable to submit utilization certificates, he asserted.
