LOUSAL to organise mass training on organic farming

(LOUSAL) is set to take up mass training programme on organic
farming in the State soon.
LOUSAL president Mutum Churamani, in a press meet
held at the lup's head office at Brahmapur Guru Aribam Leikai
today said the use of chemicals and fertilizers in cultivation of
food crops have direct impact on human health.
The lup is all set to launch mass training programme on
organic farming in the State in line with Prime Minister
Narendra Modi's proposal to make agriculture all over India
an 'organic zone'.
A joint committee called Parma Cultural
Alliance Manipur has been constituted to take up the initiative,
he stated.
The alliance will have a coordinating committee each
at all the district and will function under an elected convenor,
Churamani informed.
The lup also welcomed a five member team from the State
who took part in the organic farming training programme held
at Odisha.
The training programme was participated by farm-
ers from South Africa, Lebanon and Italy.
