Imphal, January 28:
Ridiculing the conduct of security forces in the aftermath of the attack launched by PLA on the 4 AR in the afternoon of January 26, the Revolutionary People's Front has remarked that thrashing and forcing innocent, unarmed villagers to shout "Long Live India, PLA Murdabad" was a clear manifestation of the deep rooted frustration among security forces.
A statement issued by RPF's Department of Communication and Publicity Chief N Wangba asserted that security forces intimidated the people of Thakhel to sing to their tune as they were frustrated and morally bankrupt following the massive refusal of the people of Manipur to accept Indian rule.
Castigating the act of forcing innocent, unarmed people to dance to their tune, the outfit maintained that it too could make all unarmed people surrender to PLA, including the President of India.
Such act of turning to unarmed people while they were unable to face their adversaries was an act of cowardice.
In fact, acting big and strong against the innocent civilians was a matter of great shame for all the security forces, it remarked.
The statement further observed that there was nothing new in security forces assaulting and torturing the people of Manipur.
Various forms of atrocities are being committed by security forces against the people of the State behind the cloak of democracy, it said.
In their attempt to repress the people of Manipur, security forces have been committing all kinds of brutal and inhuman acts against the people of Manipur continuously since a long time back who defied Indian rule, asserted the RPF statement.
Such acts of brutality and atrocity committed against the people is a clear testimony that the soulless democracy of India is unable to keep the people of Manipur under its charm any longer.
