Workshop on PM FME scheme held

Manipur Food Industries Corporation Limited (MFICL) orgainsed a one-day workshop on Prime Minister's Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM FME) Scheme under the aegis of ministry of food processing industries at Industrial Estate, Takyelpat, here, on Wednesday.
Addressing the gathering, PM FME SPM Unit food technology manager Meisnam Daniel Luwang highlighted the benefits and opportunities under the scheme, stating that emerging entrepreneurs in the food processing sector can derive optimum benefits from the scheme.
Any person fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply for assistance under the scheme through its online portal.
The application process involves registration and submission of project report, he explained.
Beneficiaries with good performance within the first three years are eligible to claim 35 per cent credit link subsidy of the loan amount.
So far, 250 entrepreneurs have availed benefit under the scheme and many more are undergoing entrepreneurship training, he informed.
