TSE proprietor continues with humanitarian service
42 families assisted at Changangei Uchekon

Proprietor of The Sangai Express, Nishikant Singh Sapam continued his humanitarian service amidst the COVID-19 lockdown by distributing relief materials to a total of 42 worst affected households of Changangei Uchekon today.
Nishikant distributed the relief materials to the selected beneficiaries belonging to weaker section at the local community hall with the assistance of Uchekon Youth Volunteers' Organisation.
Each household was provided 1 kg pulses, 1 kg onions, 2 kg cabbages, 1 kg brinjals, 250 grams of chillies, 250 grams Ngari, one soap, one packet of iodised salt, 1 litre edible oil and 1 kg potatoes.
The relief materials were provided to ease the suffering of the people due to lack/unavailability of daily essential items during the lockdown.
The COVID-19 lockdown has left many with no means to earn income for daily bread, he said adding he is blessed to be able to provide some assistance to the needy during the coronavirus outbreak.
He also appealed all to stay indoors and help flatten the COVID-19 curve by avoiding transmissions.
The locals and the youth organisation also lauded Nishikant for his humanitarian aid to the people.
It may be noted that since the imposition of the lockdown, The Sangai Express proprietor has been donating and providing relief materials and daily essential items to poor and weaker section of the society.
He has already provided aids to numerous households and individuals including widows, differently abled persons at different places.
On the other hand, The Sangai Express, under the aegis of Nishikant Singh Sapam, as part of its corporate social responsibility programme has been giving cash incentives to sportspersons apart from organising youth conclaves from time to time.
He has also been providing monthly remuneration to the tourist guides of Keibul Lamjao National Park in addition to sponsoring the cost of procuring feeds for the Sangais kept at Langol.
