Mass testing and vaccination for Covid held at Kakching

Kakching, June 10 2021:
Mass testing for COVID-19 was conducted at Sora and mass Covid vaccination drive was held at Kakching Sumak Leikai today under the aegis of Mayanglambam Rameshwar.

The mass testing drive was held at Sora High School located at Sora Ching Wangma jointly organised by the MLA, Up Adyakshya of Kakching Zilla Parishad Md Nazimuddin, District Administration Kakching, Chief Medical Officer of Kakching and his team and Covid Task Force Sora.
During the mass testing drive today, 32 pe/sons were tested out of which 4 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 and were admitted in Community Home Isolation Centre opened at the school.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayanglambam Rameshwar stressed on the need of going through Covid test and to get vaccinated in order to protect oneself from the deadly virus and to contain the further spread of the pandemic.
Further he appealed to all not to believe in any false information or propaganda regarding the vaccine mainly circulated in social media which are trying to mislead the general public.
He assured that the vaccine are safe and said that getting vaccinated is an important precautionary measure against COVID-19.And he called for concerted efforts from all to effectively combat the ongoing pandemic.
Later the MLA also inspected the mass Covid vaccination programme held at JnNRUM Hall at Kakching Sumak Leikai organised , by Kakching District Health Department and Kakching Ward no 12 Covid Task Force under the aegis of the MLA.
Around 115 individuals above the age of 45 years were vaccinated in today's programme.
