CAU team Thailand-bound for training

A team of teachers and students of Central Agricultural University (CAU) has been selected under the National Agricultural Higher Education Project (NAHEP) - Institutional Development Plan to undergo a three-month long training in Thailand.
CAU College of Agriculture's Animal Sciences assistant professor Dr M Norjit will be undergoing the training at Chulalongkorn University, Pathumwan District, Bangkok, Thailand; while Department of Entomology associate professor Dr Shravan M Haldhar will train at Prince Songkla University in Hat Yai, Songkhla, Thailand.
Meanwhile, 5 undergraduate students of College of Fisheries, CAU, Lembucherra, Tripura have left the country for training in Thailand.
The project is sponsored by ICAR-New Delhi through World Bank.
The projects are being taken up as part of the efforts to improve the management and governance of CAU, in addition to improving the resources and infrastructures of the university.
The five students selected for the training programme are Brahmacharimayum Priyabati (Manipur), Dorna Bhutia (Sikkim), Asabi Rume (Nagaland), Sneha Choudhury and Suraj Shah (Tripura).
They were selected on merit basis following an examination conducted for the purpose, CAU Information and Publicity officer Dr Indira Thounaojam conveyed in a press release.
