Advocacy meeting on child rights held

Supported by Child Rights & You (CRY), Wide Angle Social Development Organisation organised a one-day advocacy meeting on state policy, child rights issues, roles and responsibilities at Sagolband Moiranghanuba Leirak on Saturday.
A release issued by Wide Angle informed that the meeting presided by its secretary Mon-tu Ahanthem was attended by Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights former chairman S Saratkumar Sharma, Imphal Times editor Khumukcham Rinku, Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights former member Keisham Pradip Kumar and Child Welfare Committee, Imphal West former chairperson Thiyam Rajkeshor as resource persons.
In the technical session, Keisham Pradip spoke on 'Draft state policy on children - present reverence' and Thiyam Rajkeshore on 'Role of state institution working on children' as resource persons.
Members of CWC Imphal East, Ukhrul, Tamenglong; Juvenile Justice Board, Noney, Tengnoupal, Imphal East; District Child Protection Unit Imphal West, Child Care institutes and Nirvana Foundation also attended the programme.
