AMGSU praises AR's Covid initiatives

Imphal, August 02 2021:
A team of All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union, (AMGSU), Irang Part-II Unit led by its newly appointed president Saran Kumar Limbu, general secretary Narayan Adhikari, CC organising secretary Dilliram Bhattarai and few other members visited 44 Assam Rifles, Banglabung Outpost, Gelnal IT Road and interacted with the second in-command and post commander.
In a release, AMGSU informed that the team extended its gratitude to the AR officers and personnel for their role in carrying out Covid-19 vaccination drive during the pandemic in far and remotest areas of Irang Part-2, Makui Assang, Panikheti, GorkhaTapon, Gorkha Jhill and many other places under its area of jurisdiction.
The team presented traditional Gorkhali cap and shawl to the second in-command and post commander of the outpost, it added.
AMGSU Irang Part-II Unit also thanked the 44 AR on the behalf of all Gorkha community of Irang for conducting awareness on Covid-19, vaccination, tree plantation, organising career counselling for joining Indian Army and other forces.
Later, the team visited the residence of AMGSU Irang Part-II Unit outgoing president Tilachand Paudyel at T Waichong and arranged a short farewell programme while maintaining SOPs in the presence of KSO Twilang Block president Enock Kipgen, it stated.
