Bishwamitras "The Ripple" nominated for NCIFF

Nepal Cultural International Film Festival (NCIFF)-2022 announced the nominees for its various awards under categories on Tuesday.
Among this, renowned Manipuri film and theatre director Khwairakpam Bishwamitra's "The Ripple" has been nominated for the Best International Short Film Award.
Altogether 72 nominees were selected for the 15 different awards of NCIFF- 2022.For the Best International Short Film category, 25 films were nominated, of which Bishwamitra's "The Ripple" was selected as India's film nominee.
Two other Indian films, "The Hindu Boy" by Shahnawaz Baqal and "Only The Wind Knows the Truth" by Monika Goswami were also nominated.
It may be mentioned here that "The Ripple" ("Iwai" in Manipuri) is 24-minute long short film and the first production of Nongdol Mamikol.
Produced by Samir Thingbaijam, the story is by Rebeca Okram, and direction/screen-play by Khwairakpam Bishwamitra.
The cast includes Tonthoi, Henry and Tasha.
