Pabung gateway to merchandise indigenous products: H Dingo

Social Welfare/Skill, Labour & Employment, Entrepreneurship/Fisheries minister Heikham Dingo has said that social media platforms will act as a gateway to help connect the indigenous products with the rest of the globe.
He was speaking as chief guest at the inaugural function of Pabung Outlet at Haobam Marak Keisham Leikai on Tuesday.
Expressing his joy on knowing that pabung.com has gained popularity in Manipur, Dingo said that Pabung will serve as the entry point for connecting Manipur's indigenous products and people with the rest of the globe.
It is also the best source for self-employment, he added.
Presiding over the func tion, Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC MLA S Kebi Devi expressed her delight over opening of the outlet in her constituency, while assuring of extending all possible from her side.
Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC ZP member RK Taruni, who attended as guest of honour, stressed the need to develop Pabung outlets in every corner of Manipur.
Dr Atom Sunil Singh, who made the concluding remarks, stated that Pabung is basically supporting locally made products of Manipur worldwide.
It can deliver not only in India but also to other countries.
The products also include those from far off villages like Soyam Food Products from Phungreitang and Nungbi Pot from Nungbi village, among others.
