Minister Awangbow attends closing ceremony of R Tale trophy

Water Resources minister Awangbow Newmai on Tuesday attended the closing ceremony of 4th R Tale (freedom fighter) trophy held at Helipad Tamei headquarter.
The R Tale (freedom fighter) Trophy was organised by 6 Kumaon (Maneaters), Tamei Battalion as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
A total of 24 teams participated in the competition organised as a tribute to R Tale, who was a prominent figure of ManipUr in Indian Freedom Struggle.
The event was attended by over 1000 locals of Tamei.
While addressing the gathering, Awangbow Newmai said he would make effort to improve the condition of the roads, hospitals, and schools of his constituency under the leadership of chief minister N Biren Singh.
During the programme, the minister was felicitated by the organising committee and wife of R Tale.
He also extended cash reward to the organising committee and the two cultural dance troupes that enthralled the event with their performance, The programme was also attended by Assam Rifles Brigadier PS Arora and Organising Committee chairman Adin Abonmai among other dignitaries.
