CSOs discuss safety of kids post COVID-19

Jiribam, October 17 2021:
United Committee Manipur (UCM), MCPCR, IPSA, JDO, JIMPAL and JIMWAK jointly organised an awareness programme on 'Safety of children in post-COVID-19' at Shamupunbi (Gularthol) community hall on Sunday.
The awareness programme was attended by Jiribam DC W Malemnganba Chenglei as chief guest and UCM president Joychandra Konthoujam as functional president while Jiribam Women Association of Kangleipak (JIMWAK) president Thangjam Jamini Devi, Jiribam Development Organisation (JDO) president N Sadananda, JIMPAL president in charge Atom Ashangbi Devi and IPSA Jiribam branch vice president Thingom Lenison were present as guests of honour.
UCM general secretary Ng Deba Mangang delivered the key note address of the programme during which advocate Romen Lamabam gave an overview on POCSO Act, 2012 and JJ Act, 2015 while Jiribam district hospital MO Dr Romita Leishangthem talked on the role of parents on keeping the children safe from COVID-19 .
As another resource person, Jiribam district hospital medical officer Dr Roshila Akoijam spoke on various topics.
A similar awareness programme will be conducted on Monday at Lamtai Khunou in Barak Circle.
