Foundation day of UPF observed

Senapati, August 28 2019:
United Peoples' Front (UPF) Manipur observed its 21st foundation day at Lishamlok community hall, Senapati district today.
Speaking at the function, JCILPS co-convenor YK Dhiren Meetei maintained that unification of all the communities in the State and extending support to one another, are imperative as it is impossible for all the communities to survive on their own or separately.
Negotiation and healthy dialogue between communities will help in bringing positive change to the society, he said, adding that it is time for the educated youth of the State to mull on the relationship between the communities, which has changed with time.
Advocating communication, negotiation among the people and communities without any agenda will promote healthy relationship, he remarked.
He alleged that the State Government has neglected the influx of illegal migrants into the State and has often been content with blaming the CSOs for not paying enough attention to such matters.
Meanwhile, Lishamlok Sporting Youth Club president H Benjamin stressed on the need for all to stand together and unify against any external forces trying to harm the State.
UPF Manipur Manipur president W Second, JCILPS co-convenor YK Dhiren Meetei, Lishamlok village headman AS Amo, Shanaolong Lishamlok chairperson H Angamphy, Lishamlok Sporting Youth Club president H Benjamin and Pastor Absalom Zimik attended the function as dignitaries.
As part of the ceremony, members of UPF, along with the locals, planted tree saplings in the surrounding areas of Lishamlok.
