Gold medallist Y Sandhyarani accorded warm reception

Yengkhom Sandhyarani who make the State proud by winning a gold medal in the boxing event for 57 kg at the World Police and Fire Games 2019 held recently in Chengdu, China from August 8 to 18 was accorded a warm reception by Kakching District Amateur Boxing Association at its office at Kakching Mayai Leikai today.
The reception programme of the gold medallist was attended by Yengkhom Joykumar Singh, president Kakching District Amateur Boxing Association; Ksh Radhamani Devi, Councillor Ward No 9, Kakching Municipal Council; Major GA Vedakanta, Post Commander, 38 AR Keirak Post; Moirangthem Pishak, Ward Development Committee Member Kakching Ward No 8 and Ksh Rameshwar, secretary Kakching District Amateur Boxing Association as dignitaries besides parents of Yengkhom Sandhyarani.
Sandhyarani, daughter of Y Nabakishwar and Y Ongbi Thaba Devi of Kakching Makha Leikai Panjao who are currently residing at Waikhong Uyung Khunou, was also encouraged with presents and cash incentives by the dignitaries as a small gesture to facilitate her participation at the World Boxing Championship.
Sandhyarani who is currently serving as a BSF Constable has won two gold and one silver in the International events apart from winning 2 bronze medal in State level events, 5 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals in the National events.
