Stress laid on moral education

Stating that the degrading moral values among the youths and students of the State is posing a problem to the society's growth, Principal Secretary of Commerce and Industries, O Nabakishore said that students and youth of the State should be imparted proper moral education.
He was speaking as a functional president of a felicitation function of meritorious students organised by the Youth Diamond Development Organisation, Ningthoukhong at Ningthoukhong Mamang Community Hall today.
O Nabakishore said moral values to children should be imbibed first in the family and parents should act as role model for their children and wards.
Stating that man is a social animal, he stressed on the need to maintain discipline.
Two factors are counted in order to develop personality: one hereditary factor and environment, he said adding that these two factors influence the personality of a man.
Stating that the inclination to take coaching by every student shows that they found their institutes undependable, he exhorted the students to get maximum benefits from their classroom learning.
The felicitation was graced by Commerce and Industries Minister, Govindas Konthoujam; CO of 6/8 GR, Kaushik Mukherjee; Functional Manager of Khadi Board, L Biren; Vice-Chairman of Ningthoukhong Municipal Council, P Bheigyabati; President of YDDO, L Bindabon as the chief guest and guests of honour respectively.
Speakers of the function encouraged the students to focus more on their studies so as to achieve higher in their future endeavour.
Successful students of Class X and XII exams under BOSEM, COHSEM and CBSE of Ningthoukhong Ward No 13 were feted with a certificate and gift each during the function.
