UKLF worried over rising infections, fatalities

United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) has expressed concern over the massive rise in COVID-19 cases in the country and appealed to the people in its operational area to strictly adhere to the SOPs laid down by the state government.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, UKLF said that this pandemic has taken the lives of a number of prominent personalities in Manipur which is a great loss to the state and the society.
"Apart from mourning the deaths, we also convey condolences to all the bereaved families of the state and we pray that Almighty to comfort and console all the grieving families in this difficult time".
Appreciating the steps taken up by the government (centre and state), the organisation said that it once again stands with the authority in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic so as to save lives during the deadly second wave.
UKLF then appealed to the general populace, particularly people in the operational area of the Front to strictly adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) laid down by the state government of "to prevent ourselves from this deadliest pandemic (second wave)".
It also lauded the role of doctors, nurses, para-medical staffers, volunteers and Covid Task Force for in controlling and managing the rise of the pandemic, while wishing speedy recovery to all who are undergoing medical treatment.
