Swachh Bharat Mission programme held in Ccpur

Lamka, December 06 2014 : A one day sanitation programme on Swachh Bharat Mission (GRAMIN) for editors of various electronic media and print media organized by PHED Manipur was held today at District Training Centre hall, near Deputy Commissioner office, Tuibong in Churachandpur.

Speaking to the gathering Additional Chief Engineer, Public Health Engineering Department, Manipur Laishram Ibobi Singh gave outline of the guidelines of National Rural Drinking Water programme and formation of village water and sanitation committee.

He said that national goal is to provide every rural person with adequate safe water for drinking, cooking, and other domestic basic needs on a sustainable basic having minimum water quality standard and accessible at all times and in all situations.

Elaborating his speech, L Ibobi Singh said tentative allocation of fund under NRDWP for the year of 2014-15 for Manipur is 5725.85 .

He pointed out that the district wise target for drilling of tube well for 2014-15 is 68 numbers and Rs.170.00 lakhs.

He said that in Bishnupur district number of drilling tube is 10 and amount is Rs 25.00 lakh, in Chandel number is 6 and amount is 15.00 lakhs, in Churachandpur number of tubes is 9 and amount is Rs 22.50 lakhs, in Imphal East , it is 7 nos.and amount is Rs 17.00 lakhs, and in Imphal west it is 10 nos.and amount 25 lakh.

In Senapati number of drilling of tube well is 3 nos.and tentative cost is Rs.7.50 lakhs, Tamenglong got 3 nos.of drilling tube-well, while Thoubal has 4 nos of with Rs 25 lakhs as cost.

Ukhrul would have 4nos of drilling tube well with Rs 10 lakhs as estimated cost.

Kangpokpi has 3 nos of drilling tube well with Rs 10 lakh of estimated cost, and in Jiribam number of drilling of tube well is 3 nos and estimated cost is Rs 7.50 lakhs.
