With 23 goals in a match, Haryana became the best scorer team on the second day of the 60th National School Games in Football Under-17 held at the Main Stadium of Khuman Lampak Sports Complex today.
Haryana crushed Karnataka by 23-0 goals in match no.21 played at main stadium.
In another match played at 9:30 am, Haryana hammered Gujarat by 8-0 goals.
Gujarat again faced defeat in the hands of Bihar in a match played at 1:30 pm.
Bihar defeated Gujarat girls by 10-0 goals.
Haryana was followed by Maharashtra who scored 21 goals against CBSC in match no.20 played hockey practice ground at 2:30 pm.
But in 9:30 match played at main stadium, Maharashtra blanked out Chandigarh by 5-0 goals.
Chandigarh thrashed Vidya Bharati by 15-0 goals in a match played at hockey practice ground at 1:30 pm.
In other matches, MP defeated CBSE by 19-0 goals; Tamil Nadu beat West Bengal by 7-1 goals; Manipur also crushed West Bengal by 9-0 goals.
Punjab blanked out Chhattisgarh by 2-0 goals; Delhi defeated Andhra Pradesh by 7-0 goals; Tamil Nadu blanked out Telegana by 2-0 goals.
The match played between Karnataka and IPSC ended in a 1-1 draw.
