CRPF units celebrate Independence Day

The Independence Day celebration marking the 75th years of independence was held at headquarters of different CRPF battalions stationed in the state on Sunday with the main function of the para-military forces held at CRPF Group Centre with the participation of top officials and personnel from various units.
The celebration by 84 Bn CRPF was held at its Lamphelpat headquarters while 69 Bn CRPF celebrated the 75th Independence Day with full enthusiasm and zeal by the force's personnel at its Mantripukhri campus as part of the ongoing celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Bajrang Lal, who is commandant of 69 Bn CRPF, hoisted the National Flag followed by the National Anthem, at the Quarter Guard of Battalion headquarters.
In his speech, the commandant motivated the force person nel to safeguard our nation with true spirit of unity in diversity.
He also read out the names of awardees of Shaurya Chakra, Police Medal for Gallantry, Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service awarded by the President of India on the eve of the auspicious occasion.
The commandant delineated the ethos and the themes of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav during his keynote address.
Veterans of CRPF, school children, relatives of force personnel along with officers and personnel witnessed the celebration during which sweets were also distributed to all the participants of the celebration.
