CM inspects City Convention Centre

Imphal, June 08, 2013:
The City Convention Centre, which has remained incompleted for the last 18 months after it was inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi on December 3, 2011, was inspected by Chief Minister O Ibobi today.
During his inspection visit, the Chief Minister assured the concerned officials that the funds required for completion of the construction process would be provided soon.
The Chief Minister also instructed the officials concerned to maintain quality of the goods while purchasing the microphones and carpets for furnishing the auditorium which has a seat capacity of 800 persons and said that it should be no less than those used in Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister was accompanied by Works Ministr Dr Kh Ratankumar and Chief Engineer of PWD Loken.
The team also inspected the condition of the Civil Secretariat which is being constructed as part of the larger Capitol Project.
The Chief Minister expressed discontentment over the incompletion of the construction work on Civil Secretariat.
They also inspected the condition of the Inter State Bus Terminus at Khuman Lampak.
