SASO decries UG's monetary demand

Appealing to KCP (Noyon) group to withdraw its monetary demand of Rs 3 lakhs, staffs and volunteers of Social Awareness Service Organisation (SASO) staged a sit-in-protest demonstration at Lamphel Super Market today.
SASO is a voluntary organization established by previous drug users with the sole aim to build sustainable models for prevention of Drug use, HIV and its related diseases and to provide care and support for PLHA and their families.
Y Sashikumar, General Secretary of SASO, who took part in the protest demonstration, stated that KCP (Noyon) group served a demand note of Rs 3 lakhs to SASO on February 13 with the instruction that the amount should be given by February 20.As SASO is not in a position to meet the demand, the UG group has again threatened the members of SASO telling them to remain indoors and close down their office.
