Kakching protests disappearance of man

A sit in protest was staged today at Kakching Lamkhai and Kakching Bazar against the disappearance of a non-local man since November 24 from Kakching.
Nitin Masih (38) a resident of Indoor in Maharashtra is married to Naorem Amila of Kakching Wairi Pung Pareng.
Both the husband and wife came to Kakching on Nov 7 in connection with Ningol Chakkouba celebration.
Nitin Masih reportedly remained traceless since November 24, after he went to drop some kids from the field of his in-laws to home in
a motor cycle.
His motor cycle was however found some distance away from the field where they were harvesting.
Various civil society organisations and clubs of Kakching area held a meeting yesterday in connection with the missing of Nitin at the office of AVO Kakching.

The meeting resolved to stage a sit in today at Kakching Bazar and Kakching Lamkhai.
Shops and business establishments in Kakching area were closed for the day due to the demonstration.
However, traffic movement in and around was not disturbed.
Seeking clarification from all concerned over the disappearance of Nitin Masih, the protesters also appealed all concerned to hand over Nitin on humanitarian ground.
The protesters also warned of launching series of agitation if no trace of him is found immediately.
