Imphal, July 24 2021: Education Minister Sorokhaibam Rajen Singh has declared the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) Exam results today.

Due to the Covid pandemic, the Class XII exam was cancelled and COHSEM declared the result after taking certain parameters into consideration.

No ranks were announced.

Declaring the result, Rajen informed that the total number of candidates whose assessment report was received is 31,136 .

Out of this, the results of 62 candidates were withheld.

59 candidates, on the other hand, are waiting for a conducive atmosphere for the subject improvement exam.

Applications of 972 students are being awaited to be submitted to the Council.

These students can submit their application till 31st July, 2021 according to the Council's notification.

Altogether 16,395 students passed the examination in 1st Division while 13,100 students cleared the examination in 2nd Division and 1557 others in 3rd Division.

22 students were declared simple pass.

In terms of district-wise pass percentage, Bishnupur, Kamjong, Pherzawl, Ukhrul and Chandel district recorded 100%.Imphal West recorded the highest number of students, registering 11,082 candidates for the examination while Pherzawl recorded the lowest with just 4 students registering for the exam.

Overall pass percentage including Arts, Science and Commerce streams is 99.80% .

A total of 9,061 students from Arts, 21,387 from Science and 747 from Commerce stream totalling 31195 students were enrolled this year.

Declaring the result at the conference hall of the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur, Rajen Singh said that declaring 10+2 exam result of the State before the CBSE result is a big achievement of the Government and the Education Department.

The Minister added that the marking modalities were framed after minute discussion and consultation with the resource persons and experts.

If any student or guardian is not satisfied with the marking assessment system, they can apply for reappearing for the exam, the Minister informed.
