The State Bank of India is set open three new ATM centres at its branch offices in Imphal soon.
Talking to newsmen at Hotel Nirmala today, Assistant Manager of SBI SC Rath said that the ATM centres will be opened at its main branch (MG Avenue), MU branch and Paona Bazar branch.
At the moment there is one ATM centre at the Secretariat branch of the bank.
On the investment made by the bank in the agricultural sector, the AGM claimed that the SBI has increased investment by over 100 percent from the previous Rs 6 crores to Rs 14 crores this year.
This is despite the guidelines of the Govt of India to increase the advance by only 30 percent, claimed Rath.
Through the Kisan Credit Card and Kisan Gold Card, the bank has extended financial credit to 2500 and 150 farmers respectively; he said and added that financial assistance has been provided to more than 200 Self Help Groups of Senapati district.
The bank has also extended financial assistance to 500 passion fruit growers of Mao-Maram, he added.
