On the other hand, members of Sadar Hills District Demand Committee allegedly set on fire a motor cycle Pulser (MN01Q-5719) at Gangpiphai area under Sapermeina Police Station at around 11 am today.
Sapermeina PS have registered cases in connection with the two violent incidents.
The Panchayats will go to polls tomorrow.
Meanwhile, talking to newsmen today, Sharma said that contesting elections and voting are rights guaranteed by the Constitution of India.
"We are not against the demand pursued by the SHDDC to upgrade Sadar Hills to a full revenue district," he declared and added that it is the Government's policy to allow the Panchayati system as well as District Councils to exist side by side at Sadar Hills.
Sharma further said that he will not withdraw from the race just because he has been asked to withdraw at the fag end of the election process.
Making his point clear, Sharma said that if elected, he is ready to even resign, but only after the different community leaders sit together and discuss the matter.
