Imphal, January 12:
STD lines between Manipur and the rest of the country continued to be disrupted due to the looting of wide band cards from a relay centre in Tamenglong district four months ago, official sources said.
Wide band cards which facilitate STD calls were yet to be installed at the relay centre at Oinamlong.
Only a few lines were operational through narrow band cards, the sources said adding it would be difficult to call various centers in the country on phone because of non-installation of the wide band cards.
The sources could not say when the telephone authorities would install the new wide band cards.
Unidentified militant had looted these cards and demanded a huge sum of money in return for the cards.
