AR observes International Literacy Day

The 35 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) a series of lectures at Morning Star School (Haika), St Mary's School (Khullen) at Sajik valley and T K Gomphai school in Singheu village as part of the International Literacy Day observation.
Teachers and students of the schools attended the lectures.
Highlighting the importance of literacy in today's competitive world, the AR officials talked about the relevance of knowledge and literacy in eradicating poverty, unemployment and the menace of insurgency.
Relevant books of general knowledge and competitive exam were also distributed on the occasion.
Similarly, 37 Assam Rifles organized education workshops on the occasion of International Literacy Day at Tuijang and Hengshi, which included distribution of type writers, magazines, newspapers and stationary items to villagers and lectures were also delivered by AR officials on importance of the International Literacy Day.
